TEMPE, Ariz.—Grace Baptist Church held a creation-themed Vacation Bible School at the end of July, the first VBS Grace held in several years. The church’s beautiful new LED sign helped to publicize the event.
Each day the kids had an opportunity to “dig for dinosaurs” in the three-ton sandpile, helping their team earn lots of points. “Billions of Dead Things,” as well as the RBP songs, were catchy tunes and words, equipping teachers and students alike to review the creation message for a long time. Everyone left with lots of facts about our “young earth” and now know that dinosaurs really are mentioned in the Bible!
The love offering went toward purchasing a Jeep for the orphanages in Africa that were focused upon each day.
Mike Riddle of Answers in Genesis capped off the week with an all-day meeting on Sunday, bringing several creationist messages with an apologetic emphasis.
