SALEM, Ore.—Faith Baptist Church ordained its pastor, Craig Slaughter. During the ordination service, Darrell Beddoe, regional pastor of the Baptist Network Northwest, brought the charge to the church. Carl Hills, associate pastor and founder of Faith Baptist and also ordination council moderator, brought the charge to the candidate. Craig’s longtime friend, Joe Castaneda, youth pastor of Bethany Baptist Church in Salem, shared the evening message.

Craig was saved as a teen through the ministry of Faith Baptist and grew up attending the church. He later graduated from Faith Baptist Bible College, Ankeny, Iowa, and then pastored First Baptist Church, Norwalk, Iowa. He and his wife, Tracy, have six children. Craig has served as pastor at Faith Baptist since July 2009.
