TGX Conference Focuses on Multiplication

By December 11, 2024No Comments

Soteria Church, West Des Moines, Iowa, hosted the 2024 TGX Conference.

TGX—meaning The Great Exchange—helps church leadership teams grow in unity and purpose. This year’s conference, featuring four main sessions and eight workshops, focused on multiplication.

“God placed the DNA for reproduction and multiplication into everything He created. That includes people, and that includes the church!” says Clare Jewell, national representative of the GARBC and a main session speaker.

“The church is called to multiply disciples, leaders, and churches. To do this, we must deploy our resources, develop a sending mentality, and partner with other leaders and churches. . . . I pray that more and more pastors will see the opportunities that lie beyond the walls of their church and release their people to accomplish God’s mission.”

Mike Augsburger (above), pastor of Soteria, says one element that can “inspire and equip God’s people to engage in discipleship and evangelism” is a pastor’s sermon.

Mike co-led the workshop “Leaky Mission: Preaching for Multiplication.” Through practical tips, real-life examples, and interactive discussions, attendees learned how to communicate their churches’ mission in a way that “motivates and mobilizes” their congregations for growth.

Preaching can be “a powerful catalyst for multiplication” and for impacting the church’s community for Christ, Mike says.
