Emmanuel Church, Flint, Michigan, has called Steven Sauvageau as pastor of its campus in Grand Blanc.
Emmanuel Church, pastored by John Scally, launched the campus last year when a Baptist church about 11 miles south of Flint had dwindled to only 30 people. Emmanuel adopted that ministry and revitalized it under Emmanuel’s own name. Generate, a ministry of the GARBC, provided consultation and advice in launching the campus.
Regarding calling Steven as pastor, the church says, “God is so good!”
A member of the church says the Grand Blanc campus is blessed to have Steven as pastor and thanks him for his “heart for people.”
Steven is a Biblical studies graduate of Maranatha Baptist Bible College. He is looking forward to leading people “in their journey of faith.”
“Each of us, including myself,” he says, “can always be working toward becoming a more passionate disciple of Christ. I love more than anything how much fun it is to serve God, and I hope to show that in my own life.”
