“Part celebration, part Bible conference, part reunion, the Northeast Fellowship fall conference combined lots of good things!” says Brian King, director of the Northeast Fellowship.
Churches throughout the region attended the conference October 23–24.
Looking at the theme “Overcoming Fear through Awe of God,” guests learned that “fear is our common and ongoing enemy. Awe of God is an effective way to conquer it.”
Members of the Northeast Fellowship’s leadership team shared Scripture readings throughout the conference. One of those leaders was Chris Bosnyak (in photo above). Chris is pastor of Pines Brook Baptist Church, Walton, New York, and a member of the teaching faculty for the Northeast School of Theology and Ministry, a ministry of the Northeast Fellowship.
The conference also included several additional opportunities for Bible teaching and fellowship. A pre-conference for pastors and their wives taught a Biblical framework for current events and provided time for discussion and fellowship. On the second afternoon, Jim Vogel, associate director of the Northeast Fellowship, led a Doctrinal Thinkubator on “Our Core Distinctive: Biblical Authority.” And Judy King (wife of Brian King) and Jeannie Vogel (wife of Jim Vogel) led a session for pastors’ wives.
