The Northeast Fellowship met for its Serve Boldly conference for church volunteers April 29 at Breesport (New York) Baptist Church.
Though this annual conference is designed for volunteer church workers, its extensive workshops are also beneficial for paid ministry leaders.
Attendees chose six of 30 practical workshops that apply to churches of all sizes. Topics included ministries to men, women, seniors, students, and children; Sunday School; music and worship leadership; outreach and evangelism; technology; church security; and Biblical counseling.
Workshop leaders included Jeannie Vogel, author of three Regular Baptist Press books, including Engage: Influencing Your World Like Jesus; her husband, Jim Vogel, associate director of the Northeast Fellowship and author of The Pastor: A Guide for God’s Faithful Servant; Brian King, director of the Northeast Fellowship; and numerous ministry leaders of Northeast Fellowship churches.
