The Ohio Women for Missions “had an exceptionally wonderful time” at its retreat, says Donna Victor, president of the group.
Looking at the theme “Trusting God’s Amazing Story” Nov. 9–10, the women were encouraged to intentionally look for opportunities to share their faith.
Jeannie Vogel, a Regular Baptist Press author, served as keynote speaker.
“Jesus didn’t just come to save the lost; He also came to seek them,” Jeannie says in her book Engage: Influencing Your World Like Jesus. We need to find ways to engage our world, she says. “We are each called to reach the world for Christ and make disciples, but . . . we will never have impact without contact.”
A basket auction raised funds for the group’s yearlong missions project, “Fueled for Missions.” Through that project, the women are raising $10,000 to supply gas for Baptist Mid-Missions missionary appointees traveling to gain support.
OWM is a ministry of the Ohio Association of Regular Baptist Churches to support, pray for, and promote missions. Existing for more than 90 years, the OWM has “a rich and amazing story” for God’s glory, Donna says.
