October involved many visits to churches and ministries for David Strope, interim national representative of the GARBC.

He first visited Germantown Hills (Illinois) Baptist Church October 7–8. There, David (in photo above) spoke at a Saturday evening men’s outing, presented an RBM ministry report, and preached in the morning worship service on “God’s Great Church.”

The following Sunday he visited Shawnee Hills Baptist Church, Jamestown, Ohio. David presented the ministries of RBM and preached in the two morning worship services.

After ministering at Shawnee Hills Baptist Church, he David attended the annual conference of the Ohio Association of Regular Baptist Churches October 16–18. In addition to enjoying attending as a gusts, he shared a brief RBM report.

He next visited Clarks Summit University October 20, speaking in chapel and enjoying a Q and A with an upper-level ministry class. David is a 1976 graduate of CSU and a 1991 graduate of Baptist Bible Seminary.

On October 22 he preached and presented RBM at Independent Baptist Church, Towanda, Pennsylvania.  Independent Baptist Church holds the distinction of more than half a century of “Hauser” ministry. Pastor Donn Hauser succeeded his father, “Doc” Hauser, who pastored the church for many years. This church also holds the distinction as paying for the largest number of Baptist Bulletin subscriptions for its members.

His last speaking engagement for the month was a missions conference at Brookdale Baptist Church, Moorhead, Minnesota, October 27–29. He participated as a guest speaker, along with Jim and Julie Leonard (Baptist Mid-Missions missionaries to Brazil) and Jon and Holly Boyd (ABWE missionaries to Columbia). Bible teaching on the theme of “Living on Mission for Christ,” ministry reports, prayer, and fellowship marked the event.

“A busy month! I am tired just reviewing the list,” David Strope says. “God continues to give grace and to provide the blessing of interacting with our churches, pastors, and associations.”
