David Strope, GARBC interim national representative, completed an eight-day ministry trip in the Midwest.

After spending two days at Regular Baptist Ministries’ home office in Elgin, Illinois, he traveled to Cleveland, Ohio, where he spent two days attending meetings of the Baptist Mid-Missions council.

He next visited Grace Baptist Church, Canton, Ohio, to share an RBM report and preach. At the time, Grace Baptist’s pastor, Dave Ryan, was en route home from an extended ministry trip in southern India. While at Grace Baptist, David connected with Jimmy Stevenson, a missionary builder with Baptist Church Planters, and his family. Jimmy is part of a team of BCP church builders constructing an addition to Grace Baptist.

David next visited Cedarville University, where he met with Dr. Thomas White, president of Cedarville, and Dr. Chris Miller, senior professor of Biblical studies (in photo above, left). Chris is coeditor of Regular Baptist Press’s New Testament Exposition Commentary project and author of the first volume, Matthew, to be published in June.

A gathering of Akron, Ohio, area pastors was David’s last stop. He presented an update on RBM and shared “What I’m Learning in Life and Ministry.”
