Faith Church, Lafayette, Indiana, hosted an indoor picnic May 20 for its group called Caleb’s Kin. This ministry of Faith Church is for people age 55 and older in the church and community.
The group meets for monthly fellowships, featuring Bible messages, music, icebreakers, and carry-in or catered meals. In addition to the monthly gatherings, the group also gets together for additional activities in various locations or road trips to fun and interesting places.
The name Caleb’s Kin, the church says, “is derived from the fact that Caleb, one of the original 12 spies that explored the land of Canaan, was still vigorously and courageously claiming God’s promises at 85 years of age.”
