First Baptist Church, Marshall, Minnesota, hosted this year’s state meeting of the Minnesota Association of Regular Baptist Churches.
The three main sessions and nine workshops focused on the phrase “You ought to be teachers” from Hebrews 5:12.
Pastors and others who excel in teaching led workshops including “The Power of Preaching and Place of Teaching,” “Teaching Kids’ Sunday School,” “Discipling Your Community,” and “Cross-Cultural Communication.”
A highlight was hearing speaker Jake Heppner, pastor of Southbrook Baptist Church, Wadena, Minnesota, share his “testimony and challenge to keep Jesus as the sole treasure of one’s life or risk burnout,” says Nathan Delich, pastor of the host church.
And “perhaps the sweetest times,” Nathan says, were when attendees met the second and third mornings of the three-day event to pray for one another.
