First Baptist Church, Medina, Ohio, hosted a Mama Bear Apologetics conference for women March 11. “God used that time as an encouragement to ladies from near and far,” the church says.
“In a world that is rapidly changing, we need to equip ourselves and the future generations on how to stand for Christ,” the conference description states.
Hillary Morgan Ferrer, founder of Mama Bear Apologetics and coauthor of the book series with that same title, encouraged women “to stand on the truth of God’s Word and challenge cultural lies with courage, grace, and love.”
Some of those lies involve supporting the things that God calls sin, equating good works with the gospel, elevating or shaming people based on their God-given heritage, and believing that health and wealth are contingent upon faith.
Along with speaking in three sessions throughout the day, Hillary left time for a Q & A.
First Baptist says, “We’re so thankful for all that God is doing here at First Medina. He is certainly moving in our midst!”
