Faith Baptist Church, Bemidji, Minnesota, called Josh Overfors as pastor.
Josh was previously pastor of First Baptist Church, Guthrie Center, Iowa. But he was born and raised and called to ministry in northern Minnesota.
As a newly married couple, Josh and his wife, Sarah, attended First Baptist Church, Hibbing, Minnesota.
“After several years of growing and serving at First Baptist [in Hibbing], Josh sensed the Lord’s call to full-time Christian service,” relates the Minnesota Association of Regular Baptist Churches. He moved his family to Wisconsin, where he attended Northland Baptist Bible College, and then to Iowa, where he attended Faith Baptist Theological Seminary.
“Josh takes the Bible’s imperatives to preach the Word and to shepherd the flock of God seriously,” the MARBC says. He desires not only to make the truths of God’s Word applicable to hearers but also to enable believers to minister.
