Whitney Baptist Church, Boise, Idaho, has called Jarren Baker as associate pastor. He previously completed a 15-month ministry residency at Involve Church, Nampa, Idaho, funded by a Generate grant.
Generate’s Leaders Grants are designed to help young leaders gain skills and experience through residency, training, and mentorship.
Before completing the residency, Jarren was the youth pastor for eight years at Bethany Baptist Church, Salem, Oregon, where his dad, Tim Baker, is pastor. Tim participated in the installation service April 16. During that service he joined Whitney Baptist’s staff and a former pastor’s wife in praying over Jarren and his wife, Michelle.
Tim Frank has been pastor of Whitney Baptist since 2012. He says, “We praise God for His goodness in bringing us this dynamic couple.”
