Sleater Kinney Road Baptist Church, Olympia, Washington, assembled gift bags for staff of an elementary school. Each bag contained candy, stickers, a coffee shop gift card, a card signed by church members, and a gospel tract.
The effort was part of the church’s commitment to develop a relationship with its local school district “to show Christ’s love to families and students in our community.”
But the church’s connection to this school goes back even further. The church began in the school’s library and met in the gym for two years until the church building was constructed in 1981.
