Rejuvenated for Gospel Work

By December 14, 2023No Comments

The Bridge Fellowship of Michigan met for its annual conference October 16–18 at Maranatha Bible and Missionary Conference Center.

Kevin Moses, director of pastoral fellowship for the Bridge Fellowship, says the location “perfectly served the purposes of this year’s gathering”: refreshment, renewal, and Bible teaching.

Two speakers addressed the theme “Renew.” Doug Crawford, executive director of the state association, spoke from John 21 on “Renewing Our Passion.” Jon Jenks, president of Baptist Church Planters, spoke from Matthew 28 on “Renewing Our Mission.”

A closing session, “Renewing Our Fellowship,” featured updates from churches involved in revitalization, merging, and pastoral succession.

Other highlights of the conference included morning worship and prayer sessions, a full children’s program, a ladies’ luncheon and fellowship, breakout sessions that focused on ministry areas, and relaxation and conversation during meals and activities.

“All who attended were encouraged and rejuvenated for gospel work,” Kevin says. “While the needs in Michigan are great, the church partnerships and ministry initiatives are increasing and are proving to be effective. The leaders of the Bridge Fellowship praise God for a wonderful conference.”
