Village Baptist Church, Aurora, Illinois, is thankful for a grant it received from its county to support the church’s food pantry. The funds will help the church purchase a commercial refrigerator and freezer.
“Our food pantry is open twice monthly for large scale distribution,” says Brian Sendelbach, associate pastor of Village Baptist Church.
“We usually serve 30–50 families each time we are open. Hungry neighbors are invited to join us for coffee and doughnuts beforehand. We try to build relationships with the people who visit and are intentional about sharing the gospel, offering resources, and praying for people.”
