Ladies from Emmanuel Baptist Church, Penn Yan, New York, enjoyed “a sweet time of fellowship” as they wrote letters to the missionaries the church supports.
“It was a joy to pause from our daily routines and focus on encouraging our brothers and sisters serving around the world,” the ladies say.
“Each letter was written with love, prayer, and a desire to remind them that they’re not forgotten—they are appreciated, supported, and being lifted up by their church family. It was a simple act, but one filled with purpose, and a special way for us to share in the work God is doing through them.”
The church notes 1 Thessalonians 5:11 as a motivation for the occasion: “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.”
