First Baptist Church, Stryker, Ohio, hosted a Mothers’ Appreciation banquet May 10. Women from the church, their friends from the area, and girls in third grade and older were invited to attend.
Pastor Sean Ingram and Tim Martin, pastor of family discipleship, headed up a group of men who cooked and served for the banquet.
“It was a delightful evening with lovely decor, fun get-acquainted games, a delicious menu, and hearing from speaker Sheryl Aeschliman of Simply Scripture as she talked about our identity in Christ,” the church says.
This spring the church also cohosted a community Easter sunrise service, joined a Day of Prayer walk in front of businesses and a school, and provided a chapel service for a nursing home.
