Church Eyes Growth, New Building

THE VILLAGES, Fla.—J.O. and Juanita Purcell started Tri County Baptist Church five years ago with nine other people meeting in a professional building closely adjoining The Villages. God has blessed the church with continuous numerical and financial growth without any outside help from another church or organization. To accommodate the 250 worshipers, the church has held double services during the past two winters. The congregation plans a January move into a new building located on Rolling Acres Road, also closely adjoined to The Villages. The Villages is a 55-and-older resort retirement town that has grown from 35,000 to 70,000 in the past five years.
