Caribbean Cruise Yields Interesting Happenings

ENDICOTT, N.Y.—Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Antiqua, and Dominica were the four ports of call that 96 passengers from the Empire State Fellowship enjoyed on a 10-day Caribbean cruise. Helen Crisman from Central Baptist in Binghamton was celebrating her 75th birthday. Twenty-six of her children, grandchildren, and their spouses joined her on the voyage!

Rollin Howard, pastor of Ross Corners Baptist Church in Vestal, delivered “Sermons on the Seas” during morning chapel hours. Ray Hamilton, a retired pastor who now lives in Trumansburg, conducted afternoon Bible studies.

The group enjoyed many island excursions, indulged in scrumptious meals (group leader Craig Golden quips that “you go on the ship as a passenger and come off as cargo”), basked in the warm Caribbean sun, and experienced the presence, protection, and provision of the Lord of the sea. “The sea is His, for He made it. . . . Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker” (Psalm 95:5, 6).
