ENGLEWOOD, Ohio—Union Baptist Church has called Bruce Winner as its pastor. Bruce is originally from Indiana, but has lived in Michigan for the last 14 years. In spite of that, he is still a Buckeye fan when it comes to football. He has been married to Amy for almost 35 years. Pastor Winner begins his ministry at Union Baptist on July 19.

Pastor Winner is a board certified family physician since 1981. But in 1991 God called him into the ministry. He earned an MDiv degree from Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary in 1994 with honors and was the pastor of his previous church for 12 years.

His wife, Amy, is a registered nurse and most recently was the director of nursing at Heartland Rehab in Battle Creek. They have three grown children, one who works in the Dayton area as a nurse. Pastor Winner has special interests in evangelism and enjoys translating the Bible from the original languages. He likes to involve himself in active sports and most recently backpacked with two friends into the Grand Canyon. Amy enjoys her work with long-term and rehabilitation residents.

Union Baptist Church eagerly anticipates serving the Lord under the leadership of Pastor Bruce Winner.
