BRITT, Iowa—Bethel Baptist Church dedicated a newly remodeled auditorium July 18 under the leadership of Foster Pastor Paul Johnson. A new piano was also dedicated. Britt Mayor Jim Nelson brought greetings, as did IARBC State Representative Joe Hayes and several Continental Baptist Missions builders who had worked on the site from January to May 2008. Scott Hontz, one of the church’s former pastors, led in Scripture and dedicatory prayer. Deacon chairman Clifford Smith ended the service by praising the Lord for how He had supplied the needs as the church took that step of faith.

A fellowship time followed the service, and many former and current friends and relatives enjoyed the time together. A DVD presentation and photo albums of the remodeling were available for perusal. The prayer of the congregation is that God will use the edifice as a lighthouse in the city of Britt for His honor.
