SCHAUMBURG, Ill.—The GARBC Resource Center was energized by the annual arrival of the Council of Eighteen for its fall meeting, held Nov. 16–18. Led by council chairman Brad Quick, the three days of interaction were marked by creativity, decisiveness, and the formation of action plans. Through committee work and whole group discussions, topics addressed included GARBC Conference planning, association growth strategies, church planting initiatives, financial evaluation, promotion and encouragement of young Baptist leaders, international ministries and chaplaincy expansion, and publication of a book series on core values. The interaction was lively and stimulating, often punctuated with prayer as well as laughter.

During the meeting time, Baptist Builders Club trustees gathered also to facilitate their ministry. BBC director Michael Nolan led in implementing steps to expand BBC services to churches and in considering four grant/loan applications.

GARBC council members and BBC trustees are positively motivated and highly committed to serving our great fellowship of churches. Praise the Lord for His working through this fine group of leaders!
