QUEEN CREEK, Ariz.—Two churches in the Arizona Association of Regular Baptist Churches—Calvary Baptist in Mesa and Victory Baptist in Casa Grande—joined with two other independent Baptist churches, Berean Baptist in Queen Creek and Elliott Road Baptist in Gilbert, for a great Men’s Day. The event’s theme asked, “Are You Man Enough?” Terry Green, pastor of Victory Baptist, preached two messages from Colossians 3, challenging the 49 attendees to live for God in an increasingly secular and materialistic world.

Pastor Green reports, “In addition to the spiritual challenge, we enjoyed playing softball, football, basketball, volleyball, and some pretty serious horseshoe competition. We had a few men crash to the ground during each of the games, but no one was seriously injured. The horseshoe participants remained unscathed.”

Members of Berean Baptist provided pulled-pork sandwiches and grilled bratwurst.

A men’s retreat is scheduled for Jan. 27 and 28, 2012, in Casa Grande.
