Amherst, OHIO–Sensing a need to find God’s direction for the church, Faith Baptist Church of Amherst gathered a group of about 50 people to participate in a strategic planning session under the leadership of Pastor Mike Plog. Dr. Jim Vogel, associate national representative of the GARBC, led the session by first introducing the concept of strategic planning and then facilitating the conversations that were focused upon evangelism, assimilation, fellowship, and improving the facilities. Jim was pleased by the number and by the great participation by those who came.
Pastor Mike Plog asked Dr. Vogel to enter into a strategic coaching partnership, guiding and encouraging the church as they builds a strategic plan around many of the ideas that surfaced at the planning session.
“Working with Jim has been a great encouragement to me,” said Pastor Plog. “I look forward to seeing what God does in our church as we seek to serve Him together.”
