MARILLA, N.Y.—First Baptist Church ordained its associate pastor, Mark Thompson, on Monday, Aug. 11. An ordination service was held on Sunday, Aug. 17.
Thompson has been pastor of family ministries at First Baptist since June 2012. His oversees the church’s youth ministries, assimilating new families into the church, and teaching family-centered seminars and discipleship. He is a graduate of Baptist Bible College, Clarks Summit, Pa., where he earned a BA in music and youth ministries. He and his wife, Tracie, have three children.
