JASPER, Ind.—Putting feet to their prayers for orphans, a group of women at Fellowship Baptist Church
organized a night of blessings for local foster families.
Foster parents in the area meet quarterly for training, which gave Fellowship the opportunity to host the December meeting. The entire church family helped by praying, setting up, making food, providing child care during the training time, or cleaning up afterward. Fellowship Baptist ministered to over 100 people that night.
Some of the church’s children wrote thank-you cards for the foster parents, and a few restaurants donated coupons that the church included with the handmade cards. Thanks to the generosity of a couple of stores, the church also held a drawing for gift cards to those stores. Pastor Dave King says the evening was a way to show appreciation “for all that these families do on a daily basis to love and care for God’s children. God wanted to bless these foster families, and He used Fellowship Baptist Church to be His hands and feet!”
