
David Burman Sr., a pastor, died February 4. He was 74.
David and his college sweetheart, Beverly, spent 53 blessed years together raising their family as they served in various churches and communities.
David’s true calling in life was to serve God. He was pastor of Berean Baptist Church, New Castle, Delaware, since December 2012. He previously pastored in Moweaqua, Illinois; Rockwell City and Cumberland, Iowa; Nebraska City, Nebraska; and Alton, Illinois.
He also enjoyed serving in leadership positions in camps and organizations he loved, including the GARBC as a member of the Council of 18, state fellowships of the GARBC, and Baptist Mid-Missions.
His ministry provided comfort, care, and spiritual nourishment to countless people throughout his life.
David is survived by his wife, Beverly; his children, David Jr. (Jen), Scott (Jan), Heide Hakes (Joel), Darcy Witt (Ryan), and Traci Pautz (Darren); and 16 grandchildren.
