SCHAUMBURG, Ill.—Last April, Baptist Builders Club came alongside Great Commission Baptist Church to provide three years of assistance. During this past year, the church has met weekly in a local community center. Now God has provided for a move to the next phase—space at a shopping center.

While the move is great news, it will take a lot of work to turn the retail space into a church meeting place. Missionary builders Brent and Michelle Howard will arrive in Schaumburg soon to oversee the work. Brent has laid out a plan for the renovation:

Week of April 11   Demolition; begin framing walls
Week of April 18  Demolition of floor for plumbing; rough wire electric
Week of April 25 Drywall and tape; install new ceiling
Week of May 2     Paint/stain doors; paint walls
Week of May 9     Install cabinets, trim, and flooring

Volunteers are needed in three areas: prayer, labor, and supply. If you are able to help physically, the team needs volunteers who can do electrical, plumbing, or drywall work, paint, install carpet and flooring, or do general labor. They also would appreciate donated materials, such as drywall, light fixtures, toilets, cabinets, tile, carpet, and paint.
