Online Prayer Meetings

Two important prayer events are to take place in days leading to the 2009 GARBC Annual Conference, June 22-26. John Greening and Jim Vogel of the GARBC Resource Center invite pastors, agency leaders, and church members to join them for online prayer meetings on two consecutive Tuesdays, June 9 and June 16, from 10:30–11:00 a.m. (CT). Participants will be asking God to make the upcoming conference an extraordinary time of Biblical challenge, expanded ministry vision, outreach opportunities, and wonderful fellowship. You may sign-up for these prayer events by clicking here for June 9 and here for June 16.

Son Needs Pittsburgh Housing

David and Donna Todd , members of Chardon Baptist, Chardon, Ohio, are looking for a Christian family in the Pittsburgh area to host their seventeen-year-son, Jeremy, as he plays for the Pittsburgh Jr. Penguins Jr. B hockey team from the end of August until March. Jeremy has worked two jobs to earn money to pay the host family. He will need a non-smoking home due to allergies and asthma.   The host families for hockey players provide a room for sleeping, meals, help with laundry, and supervision. Jeremy has his own computer and car. Donna, Jeremy’s mom writes, “We would appreciate any help you can provide in finding a host family for our son as he is very important to us” (Hebrews 13:2).  You may contact the Todds at dndtodd@gmail.com, 440.285.8381.

Reaching Conference Community for Christ

Join Annual Conference attendees in giving a gospel witness in the nearby towns of Elyria and LaGrange, Ohio. An outreach opportunity is available during the conference week of June 22-26 for distributing cookies and inviting residents to attend Community Day services at two area churches in the GARBC. On Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights (4:45-6:30 p.m.) teams will be distributing cookies/invitations. Sign up now.  Also you can  participate by bringing home-made cookies to the Annual Conference for the distribution. The goal is to contact 6,000 homes. Contact Pastor Dan Simmons for more information.
