LETTER FROM THE INTERIM NATIONAL REPRESENTATIVE
Greetings in the name of our wonderful Lord Jesus!
Fall! Perhaps my favorite time of year. College football. (Go, Hawkeyes!) Colorful foliage. My birthday month, though I do little celebrating.
Fall also means harvest time. Huge combines working nearly 24-7. And God allowing by His mercy and grace to reap a bountiful crop, people—those being saved by grace through faith, those walking faithfully with God, manifesting the qualities of a relationship with God in growing measure.
Remember that you, GARBC churches, and the GARBC itself are workers together with God (2 Corinthians 6:1) in making disciples. C. H. Spurgeon noted, “We can do nothing of ourselves, but we can do everything by the help of our God; let us, therefore, in his name to go out personally and serve…and God shall be with us.”
It is a privilege and joy to serve as coworkers with God in His great work of reconciling the world to Himself (2 Corinthians 5:20–21). Let us serve in His great name, knowing that God will go with us!
In His Grace,
David E. Strope, D.D.
Interim National Representative
