KOKOMO, INDIANA—Having not held Vacation Bible School for 20 years, Bible Baptist Church is especially joyful over a greatly successful VBS this year, with an average attendance of 155 children each night. Chaplain John Murdoch of our GARBC chaplaincy ministries was present each evening for chapel time, and 24 children made decisions to trust Christ as their Savior. More than $600 in offerings benefited Operation RescueZone, and the attendees enjoyed visits from the local fire department, sheriff’s department, and EMT. Lt. Col. Miles Heaslip represented the U.S. Air Force and reserve Army unit from Kokomo. All had a profitable time learning about each profession and how the people in these agencies rescue us when we are in need, just as God rescues us in our spiritual needs.
