Calvary Baptist Church, Rochester, Minnesota, welcomed speaker Holly Stratton to its Hope Overflowing ladies’ conference.
Holly, who has been involved in discipleship ministry for several decades, taught the truths of God’s Word February 27–28 on “Anchored in the Storm,” a theme inspired by Hebrews 6:18–19: “Hold fast to the hope set before us. We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul.”
Holly read and taught from the first six chapters of Hebrews, which demonstrate that Christ surpasses all things, including the storms of life. She also shared her testimony of God’s grace and led a Q&A session, an opportunity that the ladies valued, says Jennifer Linscott, whose husband, Greg, is pastor of Calvary Baptist.
The first 50 women to register received a copy of Holly’s book, Gracefully Grounded: The Shattering That Sets Us Free (Regular Baptist Press).
Throughout the conference, the ladies also enjoyed a boutique filled with handmade crafts, a bookstore, and delicious meals that encouraged fellowship.
