Council of 18 member Ross Shannon welcomed David E. Strope, interim national representative of the GARBC, to First Baptist Church, Lapeer, Michigan, May 5.

David presented a Regular Baptist Ministries update and preached in the morning service.
Ross has been pastor of First Baptist since 2011. The church has been part of the GARBC since 1936 and still actively supports the fellowship.
On May 26 David presented an RBM update at Anchor Baptist Church, Des Moines, Iowa. Danny Capon is pastor of the church, leading the church in relocation and to spiritual health.
David preached on “The Anchors of Anchor Baptist Church” from 1 Corinthians 1.
