HARLAN, Iowa—Grace Baptist Church hosted a Fall Family Fellowship Sept. 20. The community was invited to participate in children’s train rides, pumpkin painting, three-legged races, inflatables, a meat-smoking class, a pie-baking class, and more. In the evening, a meal of smoked meats, sides, and pies was served. The day concluded with a time of thanksgiving and praise to God.
“Friendship Sunday” took place the next day. Pastor Joe Earle continued his “All in the Family” series of messages by speaking on “Gospel Foundations.”
“There is nothing more important for any of us, for any of our homes, than that we have a sure foundation,” Earle says. A solid foundation “built upon the words of Jesus” ensures that individuals and families “withstand the winds and the waves of everyday life.”
A barbecue meal was served at noon.
