FtMyersFL_inlineFORT MYERS, Fla.—Two couples in leadership at Daniels Road Baptist Church traveled to Haiti July 22–29. Their purpose was to help Tim and RoseAnne Bower, missionaries with Open Door Baptist Missions, run their soccer and Bible camp for teens.

The teens who attended the camp were all from churches in the area surrounding St. Raphael. Each day they listened to three teaching sessions, focusing on “Being an Example” from 1 Timothy 4:12. Erik Bennett, pastor of Daniels Road Baptist, spoke in the morning sessions with the aid of an interpreter and preached on Sunday morning, July 27, to close out the camp.

In between the three daily sessions, the teens participated in soccer activities led by Dave Annand, a deacon from Daniel Road Baptist. The boys competed in skills competitions in the mornings and had a tournament in the afternoons. The girls enjoyed crafts and team competitions with Dave’s wife, Carol Jean, and Erik’s wife, April. Carol Jean and April also assisted the cooks in preparing the meals throughout the camp.
