Their two children, Lance and Joanna, students at Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary in Ankeny, Iowa, joined them for the celebration.

Pastor Augsburger’s two brothers, Bernie and Bruce, and his sister, Sue Sherman, also attended the recognition. Bernie Augsburger, state representative of the Illinois/Missouri Association of Regular Baptist Churches, recounted Bryan’s boyhood days and his spirit of sacrifice and service. Bernie recounted that during college days Bryan had the chance to try out for the U.S. soccer team, but he let a friend take that opportunity. Bruce, now living in Portland, Maine, ministered in music during the evening.

John Greening, national representative of the GARBC and a member of the church, commended Pastor Augsburger for his faithful ministry of preaching the Word and building up believers. The church also honored the Augsburgers with a gift.

On Sunday morning the three Augsburger brothers along with Lance, Joanna, Jeanie, and Sue, provided several musical numbers to conclude a weekend of thanks to the Lord.
