Northeast School of Theology and Ministry Enters Agreement with Faith Baptist Bible College

The Northeast School of Theology and Ministry gladly announces a formal reciprocal agreement with Faith Baptist Bible College. FBBC will now accept credits earned at NSTM.

The agreement was made official Friday, March 27, at First Baptist Church, Horseheads, New York.

Present for that occasion were representatives of both schools: Mike Show, a traveling representative for FBBC; Glenn Amos, director of public relations and recruitment for FBBC from 1991 to 1993; Jim Vogel, president of NSTM; Lee Kliewer, academic dean of NSTM; and board members, professors, and students of NSTM.

NSTM, a ministry of the Northeast Fellowship offering Bible college training, began in September 2021 to meet the increasing challenge of finding qualified men to fill pastoral vacancies.

“Our mission is to train pastors for local church ministry roles,” NSTM explains on its website. “A secondary purpose is to make our Bible and theology classes available to non-pastoral leaders who serve in and are recommended by their local churches.”

The school’s uniquenesses include its low cost, its weekend classes, and its balance between teaching theology and pastoral ministry skills.

The affordability of the school comes, in part, from the fact that NSTM classes meet in churches. Classes currently meet at churches in Elmira, Preble, Marilla, and Poughkeepsie, New York; and Cleveland, Ohio.
