Men’s Retreat Studies “The Holy Spirit, Our Helper”

Wyatt Helgeson teaches on “Receiving Hope and Peace from the Holy Spirit” at the Minnesota association’s men’s retreat.

“Who is the Holy Spirit to you?” speakers asked the men attending a two-day retreat of the Minnesota Association of Regular Baptist Churches.

“Christian men often suffer from a fuzzy view of the Holy Spirit,” the MARBC says. Through the theme “The Holy Spirit, Our Helper,” the men learned “Bible truth about the Third Person of the Godhead” and His “crucial, life-changing role” in their lives.

The speakers were three young leaders in MARBC churches (from left in photo above): William Baker, outreach and discipleship pastor at Brookdale Baptist Church, Moorhead; Daniel Newton, assistant pastor at Faith Baptist Church, Brainerd; and Wyatt Helgeson, youth pastor at Faith Baptist Church, Hermantown.

They led sessions on, respectively, “Recognizing the Person and Presence of the Holy Spirit,” “Relying on the Power of the Spirit for Life and Service,” and “Receiving Hope and Peace from the Holy Spirit.”
