Cornerstone Baptist Church, Lakeland, Florida, invited families to an event featuring Lego sets and waffles.
During the free event, called Lego My Eggo, children age five through eighth grade participated in multiple Lego-set building activities with their families. Prior to the event, the church “worked with a local foster care agency and invited the area foster families to join us,” says Pastor Larry Lindow.
Following the building times, guests enjoyed a breakfast buffet that included Eggo waffles.
Bible teaching was also part of the event. Art George, retired pastor of First Baptist Church of Memphis, Elbridge, New York, shared a devotional. Now a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, Art spoke on “what it means to have faith in Jesus Christ and illustrated it by putting faith in a ladder as he climbed up!” Larry says.
