Ohio Women for Missions, a ministry of the Ohio Association of Regular Baptist Churches, met for its annual retreat Nov. 9–10. Gathering at the Carlisle Inn in Sugarcreek, Ohio, the women learned from Linda Luedeman, a representative for Women at Risk, that they should be willing to change, connect with others, and challenge themselves.

The women also participated in an auction of baskets filled with products. All of the money received from winning bids will go toward OWM’s missions project of rebuilding a fence and wall for Baptist Mid-Missions missionaries in Slovakia.

The fence and wall around this couple’s church property “has deteriorated rapidly the past two years due to the construction that is going on right outside the church,” says Donna Victor, OWM president. “Our goal is to raise $10,000 for the repairs to be done by next spring.”

OWM is well on the way toward meeting its goal, as the auction raised $2,905. Combined with the women’s offering money, the group’s total giving so far is $6,853. “Over halfway to our goal!” Donna says. “Praise the Lord!”
