LETTER FROM THE INTERIM NATIONAL REPRESENTATIVE
Greetings in the name of our wonderful Lord Jesus!
November brings Black Friday, elections, football, yet more football, and of course, Thanksgiving!
We must “in everything give thanks” (1 Thess. 5:18) at all times. “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer” (Rom. 12:12, ESV).
God has been so good to us as believers, as churches, and as a fellowship of churches.
- God has given mercy and grace in our Savior, Jesus Christ.
- God has given His Holy Spirit, Who is the Spirit of grace living within every believer and every church.
- God has met momentary needs of food, clothing, and shelter.
- God has protected from the severest ravages of Hurricane Ian.
- God has provided for the sale of Regular Baptist Ministries’ office in a full-price cash offer.
- God has used the work of the many staff members of Regular Baptist Ministries.
- God has given a godly, wise collection of men serving the GARBC as Council of 18 members.
On and on I could go.
As Johnson Oatman Jr. wrote, “Count your blessings, name them one by one, and it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.”
Meditate this month on Psalm 103: “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits” (Ps. 103:1–2, ESV).
In His Grace,
David E. Strope, D.D.
Interim National Representative
