Wisconsin Conference Focuses on “Laborers Together”

WARBC_inlineLADYSMITH, Wis.—Two leaders of Baptist Mid-Missions were a fitting team to present “Laborers Together,” the theme of the Wisconsin Association of Regular Baptist Churches annual conference. The association held its conference Oct. 17 and 18 at Ladysmith Baptist Church. Speakers were Dr. Gary Anderson, president of BMM, and Steve Fulks, BMM’s administrator for church relations and enlistment.

“Dr. Anderson’s keynote address and visual presentation of the church in Central Africa was a stark reminder of what it means to follow Jesus,” says Bill Mattox, pastor of Meadowood Baptist Church, Madison, Wis., and member of the WARBC Council of Eight. Anderson and Fulks reminded attendees of the Macedonian church, who gave beyond their ability, and challenged them to observe the passion that pastors in Central Africa have for their ministries and for personal growth.

Of special interest was the presentation of Solid Rock Baptist Fellowship, a church plant in Wauwatosa, Wis., located in metropolitan Milwaukee. Pastor Jonathan Schuler encouraged everyone as he shared his passion for this needy city. Solid Rock Baptist held its first worship service in 2013 and joined the GARBC in 2014.

Mattox says the conference “was a great time of encouragement as friendships were renewed and hearts were refreshed.”
