Emmanuel Christian School (ECS) in Toledo, Ohio is currently seeking a visionary leader to fill the role of Superintendent and lead the school into a period of growth and ministry expansion. As a ministry of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Toledo, ECS offers a comprehensive K-12 Christian education program. Its current enrollment of 375 students come from a 10-15 mile radius of Toledo and represent 50 different churches. The school is chartered by the State of Ohio and is accredited through the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and North Central Accrediting Agency.
The Superintendent is a member of the Senior Pastor’s Executive Staff and is charged with providing vision, leadership, guidance and operational oversight of all administrative programs at the school. The Superintendent serves as the “face” of ECS and oversees development activities and public relations for the ministry. New Book: The Gentle Art of Mothering
Congratulations to Miriam Chickering, wife of Pastor Shannon Chickering of Calvary Baptist Church, Manning, Iowa, who has coauthored a book on infant care. If you are a new mother or know of a new mother, this book, written from a Christian perspective, will help sift through the myriad decisions regarding infant care. Miriam is a lactation consultant and a registered nurse with a bachelors of science in nursing from Pensacola Christian College. Coauthor Ronda Yoder is a doctorally prepared nurse practitioner with nursing degrees from Pensacola Christian College, Indiana University, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
