Youth Missions Trip Opportunity in New York City
ChurchAid provides opportunities for youth groups to enjoy the Students Alive! program at the GARBC Conference and serve another church–all in one trip. Marty Silverberg, pastor of True Faith Fellowship Baptist Church in Bronx, New York, would like a youth missions team to come to his church before or after the GARBC Conference in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, in June. For more information, contact Scott Greening.

Opening Doors to the Community
Churches in the Association have opened their doors to their communities and have created opportunities to share the gospel by hosting efforts such as blood donation drives and ESL classes. Another possibility for establishing an outreach is by hosting a Memory Care Connection (Alzheimer’s Foundation of America). One in ten Americans age 65 or older and nearly half of those 85 or older are stricken with Alzheimer’s disease. If you have a qualified health care professional such as a physician, nurse practitioner, or social worker in your church who is willing to administer memory screenings, your church may offer free screenings to residents in your community. You can also use the time to let the community know about your church’s services through an information card.
