Young Baptist Leaders to Attend Council Meeting
Council of Eighteen members have invited young Baptist leaders from churches in the GARBC to join the Fall Council meeting, November 17-19. The Council and the GARBC administrative team are seeking to involve the next generation of Baptist leaders in active participation in the Association. During the meeting, the young leaders will be joining Council discussions, listening to ministry updates, and fellowshipping during meals. Also, the young Baptist leaders will be meeting together to chart future direction for their group.
Church Planting Initiative
One of the key agenda items for the November Council of Eighteen meeting is a church planting initiative. This New Testament prerogative is on the hearts and minds of Council members and the GARBC Resource Center administrative team. In November 2007 these Association leaders committed to praying throughout the year for a new movement of church planting within the GARBC. A church planting task force of missionary pastors and ministry leaders has been launched. Recently the task force has interacted in two web meetings, hosted by the GARBC. Please be in prayer for this important initiative.
