METAMORA, Ill.—Germantown Hills Baptist Church, Metamora, Ill., recently hosted a LEGO My Eggo event, where children were invited to bring their appetites and LEGO building skills to the table.
The children were divided into three groups according to each LEGO skill level.
For the first couple of hours, the children with the help of their parents built animals for Noah’s ark, some train layouts, and even a sports car or two. After an hour of small building challenges, they were allowed to build whatever they wanted, with some of the children demonstrating their interesting imaginations.
The last hour consisted of Eggo waffles topped with fruit, powdered sugar, chocolate, and whipped cream. Sausage and scrambled eggs were part of the menu, as well as LEGO shaped candies and fruit snacks. Event organizers were happy to discover that Eggo also makes LEGO-shaped waffles!
At the end of the day, the church held a drawing for the LEGO kits, which were awarded to several of the participants.
