Faith Baptist Church of North Chili, Rochester, New York, called Billy Peters as pastor.
He and his wife, Grace, and their four children are glad to be part of Faith Baptist, he told the congregation on his first official Sunday as pastor March 23. Brian King, executive director of the Northeast Fellowship, spoke that Sunday as well, challenging Billy to “find your rhythm for every day.”
“Pray for this specifically for your pastor,” Brian told the congregation. A pastor’s role, he said, involves many duties. So a pastor needs not only God’s wisdom and direction but also a rhythm for every day, involving “pacing, balancing, and focusing.”
He encouraged Billy to make even “the average day a good day—a good day of prayer, a good day of ministry, a good day of study.”
