Clare Jewell, GARBC national representative, ministered in central Illinois the first weekend in February.
On Sunday, February 2 he visited Grace Church, Springfield, Illinois. Pastor Dave Fox says, “Clare taught our adults and young adults principles on church revitalization, and he preached from John 4 on ‘Crossing Over’ to reach our neighbors, coworkers, family, and friends with the gospel. It was a great and challenging message!”
That evening Clare attended Grace Church’s “BBQ, Bags, and Bros” men’s event. “We enjoyed some delicious barbecue, a cornhole competition, and a devotional by Clare, challenging the men to incorporate spiritual disciplines in their lives,” Dave says.
The next day Clare joined a gathering of the Central Illinois Regular Baptist Pastors Fellowship at Riverside Baptist Church in Decatur. During the time of prayer, fellowship, and encouragement, Clare shared an update on Regular Baptist Ministries, including exciting things coming up at the GARBC Conference in Elgin, Illinois, June 23–26.
